The 2025 Origin Logistics Technology Outlook Report is Here
Technology has become one of the most important drivers of competitive edge in logistics. But while investment is at record highs, not every operator is seeing the results they hoped for.
That’s why our logistics software team, Origin, created the Origin Logistics Technology Outlook Report 2025
Why this report matters
Over 85 logistics operators across ANZ took part, from independent carriers to enterprise-scale players. The report reveals how companies are adopting, implementing, and evolving their technology, and where the fast movers are pulling ahead.
It highlights the growing divide between operators who treat technology as a genuine differentiator, and those still stuck with legacy systems and workarounds.
A few signals we uncovered
-
Only 1 in 4 operators are satisfied with their pace of technology change.
-
Integration is make-or-break: 75% of those most dissatisfied also reported poor integration capability.
-
Tech is moving to the front line: 80% say it’s critical for a competitive edge, yet 45% don’t pitch it when winning business.
-
AI adoption is real: 48% are planning, piloting or already using AI in production, and it’s often smaller operators leading the charge.
These findings matter because they show where the industry is getting stuck, but also where the opportunities lie to build resilience, customer visibility, and a sharper edge in the market.
