Microsoft buys Nokia for $0B

Microsoft and Nokia have announced a strategic partnership that will see Nokia use the Windows Phone 7 operating system on its smartphones. This is a move that we think makes sense for both parties. It's early days but signs are that Microsoft are struggling to make inroads against Apple iOS and Google Android with Windows Phone 7. Nokia has spent the last few years on a confused "strategy" for its smartphone devices. Microsoft provides a great smartphone OS + Nokia provides great hardware = a partnership that might work!
